4066.0. "OA$FORMATTER-Died-Protected images must be installed" by PTOVAX::DANZAK (Pittsburgher ) Mon Apr 11 1994 13:25
We're experiencing a problem running OA$FORMATTER as described in note
3730. At start-up we get an error saying that "protected images must
be installed..." when A1 attempts to start up the OA$FORMATTER queue.
However if it is run after the system startup completes - it starts
fine. This is on a VAXstation 4000-60 which was just upgraded to VMS
V6.0 and the ALL-IN-1 MUP installed. Prior to the upgrade (from a
3100-48 to 4000-60) we were running VMS 5.5-2 and A1 V3.0 without the
MUP.
I've "solved" the problem by submitting the A1 startup to batch - it
seems to work fine there. But this bothers me as it SHOULD have
continued to work.
Any ideas?
Note - I also tried to "$START QUEUE oa$FORMATTER" in-line in the
startup after the failed A1 startup. THAT died with the same error
"protected images must be installed". I did a SET WATCH before and
got no file info from the start/queue.
Help!
THanks,
j
