Hi,

ALL-IN-1 v2.4 patched up to K603.

Can anyone help me with the following problem (I have found various notes 
on the problem, but no real answers to see if ALL-IN-1 could be causing the 
problem).

Intermittently, the errors

repeated over and over (all in a few seconds)

and then finally

at 002FDB88 - in OACBT\OA$CAB_ATTR_RETURN_MEM

are appearing in oa$mti_err


When this happens, mail cannot be sent off-node until it seems to 
magically clear itself up. I have seen problems like this before when 
mrpasswrd.dat is locked. I have noticed that in v3.0 mrpasswrd.dat is not 
updated by users logging into ALL-IN-1 and entering EM, whereas in v2.4 it 
is, so it is difficult to see what is causing this locking problem.

Is it possible that ALL-IN-1 could be causing this problem, or is it 
definitely going to be that some other batch job would be running to cause 
the lock? 

This normally happens in the evening, but it has been known to happen 
during the day?

Was there a problem with express mail and mrpasswrd.dat locks on v2.4, or 
was that v2.3?

    is there a reason why the customer doesn't just upgrade to v3.0 and see
    if all the errors go away?
