A customer running ALL-IN-1/HEBREW V3.0-1 has described the following two problems with regard to access to drawers: 1. It appears that granting CREATE access alone does NOT work properly, and the user to whom this access was granted can NOT CREATE documents. Once EDIT access is also granted, then the user can do both editing and creating of documents. I seem to recall that this problem does indeed exist, but I couldn't seem to find either a note or a STARTS article (old age again!!). 2. It appears that DELETE access is NOT granted until the user exits and reenters ALL-IN-1 (CREATE/EDIT appear to apply immediately). Thanks, Cb.

Chaim,
Edit access implies Create access see the article
196-User Given Create Privilege When Granted Read and Edit Access To
Drawer
Is the editor in use WPS-PLUS? or EDT when it says you need EDIT access
as for the DELETE access - I always wait for the user to log out and
back in to pick up access. It just seems common sense

Andy, > > Edit access implies Create access see the article > 196-User Given Create Privilege When Granted Read and Edit Access To > Drawer > I'm aware of this particular problem. However, the problem that I described is slightly different. The user was granted CREATE access, yet he was unable to even create a document until he was granted EDIT access as well. > Is the editor in use WPS-PLUS? or EDT when it says you need EDIT access > WPS-PLUS > as for the DELETE access - I always wait for the user to log out and > back in to pick up access. It just seems common sense CREATE/EDIT access is picked up immediately even though the user has not logged out/in, so why should DELETE behave any differently. Thanks, Cb.

> > I don't know I didn't write it (:==:) why not submit an SPR? > Andy, For which of the problems are you referring? I don't think the delete problem warrants an SPR. Is the CREATE/EDIT problem a known problem. Could someone verify this behavior on a pure English system (I have been using A1/HEBREW). Thanks, Cb.
