4010.0. "Unable to answer a user off a remote MR" by ZGOV05::CHANGTSANN (CHANG TSANN @ZGO DEIL S'pore) Tue Mar 22 1994 03:58
I have a ALL-IN-1 system using a remote MR. Users have not problem
sending and receiving mails. However, if someone tries to answer a
mail originated from this system, he is not able to deliver that mail.
For example,
BTMV01 - nodename of ALL-IN-1 system with remote MR
ZGOM00 - nodename of remote MR system
When sending a mail, the recipient will receive the following sender
address : XXXX.YYYY AT BTMV01A1 AT ZGOM00
If the recipient tries to Answer the mail, he will receive a message
delivery report indicating that
Route : @ZGOM00 <--
Route : @BTMV01A1
Userid : XXXX.YYYY
Arrival date : XX-XXX-XXXX XX:XX
This delivery failed. Failure reason was "unable to transfer".
Diagnostic was "unrecognised recipient name".
Obviously, ZGOM00 is not a valid MTS site code. How can I append a site
code to the sender address so that every mails can be answered ?
This problem is resolved if the Send or Forward option is used.
Please advise.

4010.2 | Define OA$MTI_AREA | ZGOV01::CHANGTSANN | CHANG TSANN @ZGO DEIL S'pore | Tue Mar 22 1994 09:07 | 12 |
| re .1
Changing the Node: field doesn't help.
Anyway, I think I found the solution.
$ def/sys/exec oa$mti_area "BTMV01A1 AT ZGOM00 AT ZGO"
Define this logical so that the site code is added to the mail address.
Thanks.
