4007.1 | MUPB=MUPA another cock-up on the CD | AIMTEC::WICKS_A | Atlanta's Most (In)famous Welshman | Mon Mar 21 1994 17:27 | 10 |
| julio,
there isn't a MUPB - what your friend probably saw was the CD-ROm
distribution where the MUPA was labelled as MUPB to confuse everyone
(p.s for those interested TLC is labelled as MUPA!)

4007.2 | V3.0B - ALL-IN-1 and LinkWorks connection | BPSOF::LOVAS | Kati Lovas | Thu May 26 1994 12:10 | 9 |
| HI,
I've also read about MUPA - V3.0B, which is necessary to setup
ALL-IN-1 File cabinet connection for LinkWorks.
What is this, and where is it ?
The doc "The LinkWorks ALL-IN-1 File Cabinet Access Tool" was
published in this April.

4007.4 | I think Andrew's statement is correct | IOSG::HOLTD | Dave Holt | Thu May 26 1994 12:41 | 9 |
| MUPA is the name on the VAX Condist designated as V3.0B. As Andrew says this
does confuse because the kit is known as V3.0a from the SSB.
If there is a MUPB ALL-IN-1 Engineering has had nothing to do with it and you
should contact people in APD for clarification and please let me know the
outcome!

Dave Holt, ALL-IN-1 Product Management

| I'm pretty sure APD know nothing about a MUPB and that this constitutes
a misprint somewhere.
I installed the LNX - ALL-IN-1 FC tool some time ago now. The ALL-IN-1
system I used was our main cluster for which I've just checked the MUPA
version and it's definitely MUPA (and not even the resubmitted one!):
ALL-IN-1 IOS Server for VMS V3.0A (MUPA) BL61 26-Nov-1993
I can't quite see APD re-engineering IOSG's engineering, although
stranger things have happened recently...!
Sigh,

| Re . whatever,
The OpenVMS V6.1 people also think there's a MUPB but trust me on this
there isn't one so install MUPA ok? oh and if you get find someone in
Linkworks who'll listen and be prepared to correct their error then
please tell them to.
P.S I even wrote a wonderful STARS article on all this.

| oh and susi you'd better get your cluster upgraded the MUp baselevel
you have has some serios bugs in it - that's why it was resubmitted.

Have Digital Press approached you with a view to publishing a
compilation of your famous STARS articles? I can see it now, rivalling
Tony Redmond's bestsellers...

It's the LARVAE cluster which is subject to 'Core ALL-IN-1' rollouts.
Nothing to do with me, I'm just an end-user on that one. I've notified
I.S. But thanks anyway!
