Hello Ender,
I am a little confused by your note, as the AIDA server has it's own
management subsystem, and you are receiving strange OAFC errors which
are not AIDA related.
From a clean login, enter ALL-IN-1 and do SM MAS, and then STA to start
the AIDA server.
Kevin.
PS - Please pass on my regards to Tansu Yegen, if he is still working
in your office.

| Ender,
and if it really is the FileCAbServer you're trying to start then begin
by checking that all the OAFC* images in SYs$SYSTEM and SYS$LIBRARY
are from your v3.0A install.

Ender,
There's also another possible explaination.
We know of a problem when the manager tries to manage the AIDA server
and File Cabinet Server from the same IOS session. The problem is
within DASL, because both applications attempt their own session
initialize, and this gives DASL some problems.
Note this has to be the same IOS session, so if you enter the subsystem
after just having logged in you should be ok.

4004.5 | SM$MAIN customised? | IOSG::BILSBOROUGH | SWBFS | Tue Mar 22 1994 08:52 | 15 |
|
On the SM menu press CTRL N, you'll see that the form is from
SITEMANAGER.FLB.
Your problem is that you've got the SM main menu customised
already. Try going into ALL-IN-1
ALLIN1/REE/U=MANAGER/NOCUSTOM and you should find that the MAS appears.
What you need to do is either remove the customisation or if that is
not applicable add the MAS code to the customised form.
HTH.

You said you have the MUPA installed, but is the TLC V2.0 installed
also ?
You will not be able to access (or have!) the AIDA server unless you
install the TLC.
SM$AIDA$MENU is the main MAS form, so to check things out you could
just try accessing the form this way...

...also, try :
<GET SM$_MUPA_VERSION
<GET SM$_TLC_VERSION
To ensure you have a valid system...

4004.8 | same problem! | YUPPY::DEWINTER | What shall I do next? | Thu Mar 24 1994 08:39 | 10 |
| I have the same problem. One system works correctly, 2 others don't.
They have all been installed with the same kit. I've checked the
symbols mentioned in the previous note, but they are all the same.
I have installed other systems with the same kit as well, the only
difference is the machines (less powerfull) I've even reinstalled the
TLC but to no avail.
any other suggestions?
Thanks.
