Hello,
Some help needed.
System config: VMS V5.5-2

Problem: in-house keeping ARCHIVE Procedure failed .
The first page is part of the log which shows the error message.
This type of message repeats for some other users. The second page
is where the program crashed. The user being processed has got a
lot of documents waiting for archival.

Question:
1) What is the meaning of the message and why it occurs:
%OA-W-OARCAREA,no archive file name given on command line
2) Are the same type of error source that cause the prcess crash ?
Thanks in advance for any information.

Stuart,
Thanks for your reply.
I have checked the data set ARCHIVE_SETS_DATA for records of
ARCHIVE$AREA_nnnnnn,they did exist and the contents of the directory
field are pointing to real directory.
As the inhouse archival work is a batch job,how can I trap the
problem source,in addition to the log file ?
Thanks & Regards.
Tony.

| Hi,
Can the user(s) use the ADN option to successfully archive the
documents?
Does the disc, where the archive directory is, have sufficient disc
space? Does the Manager have quota on this disc?
We did in V3.1 fix a problem where archiving failed if a document's
content file did not exist. Check the first document that failed to be
archived and see if you can ADN that one.
Try it again to see if you get the same errors.
Cheers
Stuart
