3994.0. "renamed user cannot be 'seen' by MAP ?" by MSAM03::HOSOKEHUN () Thu Mar 17 1994 02:33

    Hi,

I have encountered a strange problem here and hope someone could test
    to see if its true.

After I rename an ALL-IN-1 V3.0 user, I can no longer see this user
when I wanted to nominate him as a application maintainer. I can see
other users just fine, but not this user that I renamed. A 'find' gets
me all other users except him.

I tried the above in a customer's site during a workshop and I do not
have a V3.0 system to do further testing. CAn someone please verify my
    observation ?

    Thanks,
    Angeline

Surely the account is locked and set to a mail destination of NO MAIL
    after RNA has completed.

3994.2send mails ok but still not found during MAP ..MSAM00::HOSOKEHUNFri Mar 18 1994 02:0413
    Hi,

The renamed user managed to go into ALL-IN-1 and retrieved his existing
    folders and sent mails.

But system still does not register him when it comes to nominating
    application maintaners etc.

Any one encounter the same problem ? Or maybe because customer has
    'customized' his system.....

    Thanks,
    Angeline

    Angeline,

I assume you are using the MAP option from the AM menu?

You say you are using 'find' and you only see "all the other
users"; where *exactly* are you pressing 'find'?

If it is on USER field of the overlay form (CM$SM$AUTH$USER$FIND)
then the 'find' will only show you users with the PRVAPP flag in
their profile set to a value greater than or equal to 1 - which
    	equates to P(rogrammer = 1), A(dministrator aka. Maintainer = 2)
    	or M(anager = 3).

The same is true for the "Add Authorised programmer" form
    	(CM$SM$AUTH$USER$CREATE).

Check that your renamed profile has PRVAPP set to P, A or M.
