3951.0. "WPS/VMS V3.1 --> ALL-IN-1 V3.0-1" by TAV02::CHAIM (Semper ubi Sub ubi .....) Wed Mar 09 1994 08:06

We have many customers who are currently running WPS/VMS V3.1.

For whatever reasons, there will be no V4.1 for WPS/VMS. Many of these
customers will be installing ALL-IN-1 V3.0-1 to attain the WPS V4.1
functionality.

Are the post installation instructions regarding converting WPS/VMS documents
to ALL-IN-1 via the use of WPCOPY valid for this version of WPS/VMS?

If the entire user account is to be converted, would it be possible to merely
RENAME the DOCDB.DAT, DAF.DAT, and DOCx.DIR files from the old [.WPSPLUS} to
the new [.A1] directory (or are the older DOCDB and DAF files incompatible with
the ALL-IN-1 V3.0 format).

Thanks,

Cb.

Huh ? Which language are you looking for ? There are a number LLV's
available.

This sounds like the best approach. All relevant files are compatible.
Users can decide which documents they want to keep.

Hebrew! This has been a local decision based on business issues etc. Any
customer who currently has WPS/VMS V3.1 and has a service contract for WPS
including updates, has been offered to acquire ALL-IN-1 at some attractive
price.

Thanks,
