	ALL-IN-1 STARTER V2.4 MIGRATION TO ALL-IN-1 AXP ADVICEMENT
	==========================================================

Background
----------
Upgrading to ALL-IN-1 V3.1 on VAX or Alpha AXP is only possible from 
ALL-IN-1 V3.0 (pre and post MUPA) or STARTER V3.0 systems. For local 
language versions other than French and German, STARTER V3.0 was not 
produced and hence only V2.4 systems exist. 

Action
------
For customers that cannot go to STARTER V3.0 in their language version and
that wish to move to Alpha AXP or have TeamLinks support capabilities
(integral to all licensing options in V3.1) they must either:

	o Order full ALL-IN-1 IOS V3.0 before June 30th or

	o Extract ALL-IN-1 IOS V3.0 (AAAAA) and optionally V3.0B 
  	  (MUPA - AAAAA) from the March VAX CDROM Condist.

as the current ALL-IN-1 V3.0 kit (QA-AAAAA-H*) will be replaced by the new
V3.1 combined VAX and AXP kit in the (E)SSB and on Condist from June 22nd.

When the customer wishes to move to full ALL-IN-1 V3.0, a temporary PAK 
will be provided free-of-charge from ALL-IN-1 Corporate Product Management
enabling the customer to install ALL-IN-1 V3.0. It is recommended that this 
migration take place immediately before upgrading to one of the licensing 
options within ALL-IN-1 V3.1 on VAX or AXP, to ensure that users do not
begin to utilise the additional facilities available in full ALL-IN-1 IOS
(notably Time Management) that may be removed with the subsequent move to 
V3.1 VAX or AXP.

The licensing options are:

	1 Revert to ALL-IN-1 STARTER VAX V3.1 (no charge). Note that
	  STARTER V3.1 supports TeamLinks V2.* Clients.

	2 Stay with full ALL-IN-1 IOS VAX V3.1 (for pricing use existing
	  migration license QL-VNPA9-J* depending on CPU type).

	3 Move to ALL-IN-1 IOS AXP V3.1 (New UPI=2XC and charge is 50% 
	  of the full ALL-IN-1 license on the AXP box).

	4 Move to ALL-IN-1 Core Services AXP V3.1 (New UPI=2ZN and charge 
	  is 50% of the Core Services license on the AXP box).

	5 Move to ALL-IN-1 Client-Services Access AXP V3.1 (New UPI=2ZQ 
	  and charge is 50% of the Client-Services Access license on the 
	  AXP box).

	6 Convert the Capacity license to Personal Use licenses of any
	  license type on VAX or AXP (same price on both architectures)
	  by the current Trade-Up-To-User mechanism using the UPIs in 
	  3, 4 or 5 above.

Note:   For customers that are on STARTER V3.0, migration licenses will
	be available to move to Core Services AXP V3.1 and Client-Services
	Access AXP V3.1.
