3946.0. "WordPerfect print problem - ALL-IN-1 2.4" by GIDDAY::BURT (Scythe my dandelions down, sport) Tue Mar 08 1994 01:45
Hello and Greetings,
Customer running ALL-IN-1 V2.4, with WordPerfect v5.1
Up until recently, (with no changes made ! :) ) the customer has been able to
print WordPerfect documents from the WordPerfect system with no problems.
What is happening now, however, is that when printing from WordPerfect, the
customer gets an error
PSM-E-OPENIN, error opening SYS$LIBRARY:SYSDEVCTL.TLB as input file
not found
(which is reasonable, cos the file doesn't esist on either of the 2 nodes
comprising their cluster)
Customer printing to CANON devices - some users get the error, some don't.
The problem only seems to be occurring when the print is done from the
WordPerfect menu - if a print is done of the SAME document from ALL-IN-1,
there is no problem.
By way of an experiment, I asked the customer to create a SYSDEVCTL.TLB & pop
a reset module into it. This doesn't appear to have made much of a _positive_
difference - she then ended up with this
PSM-E-MODNOTFND, library module !AS not found in record !UL
-LBR-E-KEYNOTFND, key not found
Having had no joy with that lot, I asked her to delete the files she had
created for me.
I asked the customer to check the backup lists for both nodes for the
existence (or otherwise) of SYSDEVCTL.TLB, they don't exist even on Jan
backups.
Thanks & regards,
Chele

3946.1 | /library=wordperfectmumble missing ? | UTRTSC::SCHOLLAERT | Be CASE sensitive | Tue Mar 08 1994 07:44 | 20 |
| Hello Chele,
How is WordPerfect support in the CSC at your side ? Overhere
in Holland we are lucky to have no books, no software, no nothing. Just an
open mind.
Lets give it a try.
Looks like the WordPerfect queues are not integrated correctly.
The error indicates that the print job is submitted with a
form which references to a setup module. When a queue missed
the /library=mumble qualifier, VMS default to SYSDEVCTL. Creating
the file won't help since it still does not contain the proper
setup module.
Try reintegating the queues.
Regards,
Jan

3946.4 | probable cause?? | GIDDAY::BURT | Scythe my dandelions down, sport | Mon Mar 14 1994 06:05 | 13 |
| Hello Jan,
The de&reintegrate seems to have worked - the only problem now is that we
don't know what caused the problem in the first place!
We do have some contact with WordPerfect South Pacific.
Thanks for your help,
Chele
