3850.0. "TM Set Owner and Default Printer" by BACHUS::WOOD (pgp Key; disk$1:[WOOD]mypub.asc) Fri Feb 04 1994 10:47

Is there a reason behind changing the behaviour of (TM) Set Owner between
V3.0-1 and the MUPA? MUPA. Previously Set Owner would keep a users printer as
the default. Now it takes the default printer of the user to whom the SO has
been done. (I believe there has been the same change in functionality for SMU
as well, but I've not tested that.)

At first glance I would call this a bug, but if there is a reason for it let
me know and It'll save a problem report.

Cheers,
Andy

I suggest submitting an SPR. The .PST file of the other user is
being opened with version 3.0A. Worse yet, the SO'ing user, can
change the values without the other person's permission.

My customer considered this a security violation, and I submitted
an SPR stating that (ICA-49149). It also broke a lot of in-house
        developed applications.

Well, unless it is considered a desirable outcome of SMU. If so then
    the bug is documentation.

If it is a security leak then it's a p1.

I disagree, a change of this sort that breaks applications, is to my mind a
bug. As Dave Zaniewski has already reported it I'll save IOSG the trouble of
closing a duplicate problem....

My customer (a bank) gets the choice on this one.
