Hi, I have a customer who decided to change the VMS account of an ALL-IN-1 user and what he did was to copy manually the files to the new directory and edit the ALL-IN-1 account to point to the new VMS account. After that , he could not access his drawers any more. I got there and realized that the drawers were owned by the old VMS account. Well .. I generated the same situation here to try to find a solution and I deleted the drawers that were pointing to the old VMS user from the partition file using the option REM in the Manage Drawers menu .. after that I used the command <get #oafc_seed_user = "ALL-IN-1 account" <do oa$lib:oafc$part_seed This created the MAIN drawer , but the user has another drawer that was not created. In his user's filecab, I can see the drawer there. But I wasn't able to put there in the System's file. Any Ideas ? Thks .. Marcia V3.0

Hi, Have you got the full file specification of the other drawer? If so, I think from SM MFC MP take the ADD option and fill in the form! This should create a Partition record and hopefully it should all be o.k. Hope this helps -Trev | |||||

Thanks ... I tried the ADD in the MP option and it worked fine. Marcia Last Question : What is the best way to rename a VMS account without causing this problem to the ALL-IN-1 account ? I didn't find a way to do that. |
