3820.0. "RFD shared document - intended behavior?" by COPCLU::ELIN (Elin Christensen @DMO, DTN 857-2406) Thu Jan 27 1994 12:45
In ALL-IN-1 v3.0-1 if a userA has a document current (= his OA$CURDOC),
then userB cannot refile that document into another folder by doing RFD
Refile Document or U update Index, before UserA has left ALL-IN-1 or
selected another document.
UserB gets - after l o n g time a message that the document is being
used by another user. He can change the document TITLE, but not the
FOLDER name.
- Is that the intended behavior?
Personally I would guess so, because FOLDER is a key in DOCDB and is
also part of OA$CURDOC. But a customer is of the opinion that UserB
should be able to refile the document anyway, and that UserA should be
able to keep his reference to his current document because the document
number is still the same.

3820.1 | Changing in PFR | IOSG::MAURICE | I left my heart in Alcatraz | Thu Jan 27 1994 13:33 | 8 |
| Hi,
This is the expected behaviour in V3.0. In the PFR we have removed this
restriction.
Cheers
