We have just upgraded from Version 2.4 to Version 3.0a and are also running TeamLinks at a customer site. However, we wish to copy the customers entire folder (say read folder) from the older version and incorporate it into the new ALL-IN-1 system. From the older version of ALL-IN-1 I can use FC and SNF (send current folder) options to mail the folder to Version 3.x. However, options to extract the documents from this folder in V3.x don't seem to exist. Any Idea on how we can go about doing it? Any help would be most appreciated. Rgds Kaizad.

The SNF option is not in the base product, and so must have been added at your site. Whoever did your upgrade must have not reapplied it. However, I am confused about what you mean by the new system and the old system. Did you install V3.0 as a new installation on a different machine from the old V2.4 system? Graham PS Please spell ALL-IN-1 correctly, all in capitals. I have corrected your base note.

Yes we installed V3.x on a new system for a customer. So as you suggest we will have to reinstall this option. Any ideas on how we do this? Rgds Kaizad.

Well, my simplest answer would be to tell you to find whoever did it on your last system, and get them to do it again on the new system. I expect you either don't know who did it, or they've left :-) So you'll have to go onto the old system, and follow the code through, and see which bits you need to add onto the new system. I suggest you study the ALL-IN-1 Application programming books first, as I guess you don't know much about that. I'm afraid I can't really tell you whether it will work with V3.0, since I haven't seen the code. You might try looking through this conference, since I think someone else has asked for this before. Hi, I just want to add to GAP's reply and that is please don't copy over the forms from 2.4 to 3.0 !!! I know of a couple of places where this was done and the nice 3.0 functionality disappeared. Regards, Sunil |
