A customer has just phoned me with a question re the ALL-IN-1 MUPA (3.0A) release notes. (Yes he actually read them!!) In the Knonw problems chapter, Section D.14 ALL-IN-1 editing in TeamLinks says: If an ALL-IN-1 document is edited in TeamLinks and saved back in the ALL-IN-1 IOS file cabinet, internal File Cabinet Server errors can cause the session to become unusable and the document to be saved incorrectly. My customer thinks that this really means that in practice he will not be able to use the IOS server as it may corrupt his documents. Can someone please explain what this really means and the impact it will have so that I can put my customers mind at rest. Thanks, Glyn

Glyn, I admit the wording makes it sound less than desirable, but here's the scoop. It basically says that if, when using TeamLinks, you receive this error - then your File Cabinet "session" may no longer be established, and the safest way out is to disconnect and reconnect to the file cabinet. This is NOT a common occurance, I edit documents from TL all the time and haven't seen this error since EFT1. Kevin. |
