Hello, I don't suppose anyone knows of any reason why an ALL-IN-1 account may become locked for no apparent reason?? Have a customer who is complaining because every now and then his users are finding that their accounts are locked. He swears that they have done nothing to the accounts ie, moved, renamed etc. and he is not even sure if it is the same accounts each time that are being locked, but I just wondered if anyone had heard/seen this before... Thank you Emma.

Hi Emma. You will need to ask your customer for more specifics than this, e.g. what version ALL-IN-1?, are there any housekeeping jobs running?, to which users does this happen? have their accounts been modified in any way? are there any customizations on the system? They could, (V3.0 only) turn on SM change logging, and record any profile updates (section 15-1 in the Management Guide). A quick check on the scripts and coms that reference not$in$use field are: SM_CR_USER_DETAILS.SCP, MUA_CREATE.COM (Create User) SM_MAS_ARCHIVE.SCP, SM_PAT_ARCHIVE.SCP, SM_MAS.COM, SM_PAT.COM (Transfer User) SM_RENAME.SCP (Rename User) Sure they haven't done any of these lately? ;-) Cheers daveT | |||||

ALL-IN-1 3.0-1, VMS 5.5-2 i just had a call from a user whose account was also locked for no apparrent reason. the user was using it at 6:30 last night. and now this morning its locked. the only housekeeping/maintenance (that i know of) that ran last night was preliminary test. this user did not show in the PT log as a problem account. ann |
