3729.0. "MAXPROCESSCNT in upgrade precheck" by ANGLIN::HARRISA (lost in the jungle of doubt) Tue Jan 04 1994 22:52

    ALL-IN-1 2.4, VMS 5.5-2

    we're getting ready to upgrade a site to 3.0-1. its a 3-node cluster.
    when i run the precheck i get an error with the MAXPROCESSCNT being too
    low. the precheck was done on 1 node of the cluster (the node i'll be
    doing the upgrade on).

    since the users are spread out over the 3 nodes, how concerned should i
    be about the MAXPROCESSCNT? i di the precheck on PIGGY using 250
    concurrent users.

3729.1Concurrent Per node....IOSG::PYEGraham - ALL-IN-1 Sorcerer's ApprenticeFri Jan 14 1994 10:025
    The concurrent users count should be per node. If you said you were
    expecting 250 concurrent users on each node, then clearly we are going
    to think you'll probably need more than 250 processes!
