ALL-IN-1 2.4, VMS 5.5-2 we're getting ready to upgrade a site to 3.0-1. its a 3-node cluster. when i run the precheck i get an error with the MAXPROCESSCNT being too low. the precheck was done on 1 node of the cluster (the node i'll be doing the upgrade on). since the users are spread out over the 3 nodes, how concerned should i be about the MAXPROCESSCNT? i di the precheck on PIGGY using 250 concurrent users. Ann Parameter Name Current ------------- ------- BERT:: MAXPROCESSCNT 240 ERNIE:: MAXPROCESSCNT 280 PIGGY:: MAXPROCESSCNT 230

The concurrent users count should be per node. If you said you were expecting 250 concurrent users on each node, then clearly we are going to think you'll probably need more than 250 processes! Graham |
