A customer running ALL-IN-1 V2.4 has been attempting to execite TMA from the MMA menu (after shutting down ALL-IN-1). She get's the following errors. Error copying .... RMS-E-OPENIN, Error opening !AS as input I believe that I saw this problem mentioned in one of the older ALL-IN-1 conferences, but there was no solution/explanation given. Thanks, Cb.

It appears that it is not sufficient to JUST shutdown ALL-IN-1. It is also necessary to avoid invoking mail initialization. At this customer site, the default menu upon entering ALL-IN-1 for the MANAGER account was EMC. This invokes mail initialization which subsequently locks all the SDAF files. Once we changed the default menu to SM (or to MAIN) it works like a charm. Incidentally, I have noticed that in V3.0, the TMA is now scheduled to run as a BATCH job, and this should "fix" this problem. Thanks, Cb. | |||||
