3699.0. "Sender NOT writing to oa$mti_log" by TAV02::CHAIM (Semper ubi Sub ubi .....) Thu Dec 23 1993 13:14

A customer using ALL-IN-1 V2.4 has noticed the following two problems:

1. The oamtisend job has ceased to write to oa$mti_log

Running the sender manually (SM MM RS) does write to this file

2. User's do NOT see the SUBSCRIBER: to send mail to all the users

I don't know if these are really related.

Thanks,

Cb.

Hi,

Are these problems still occurring?

If oa$mti_log doesn't exist, or is locked, the sender will try and create a
new one. Just at the moment, I can't remember where it looks - but the logical
name should be defined. So check logicals, directory protections, quotas etc.

>2. User's do NOT see the SUBSCRIBER: to send mail to all the users

You mean SUBSCRIBERS: I suppose? So if the full name is typed it isn't found?
If it's typed partially it doesn't get found? This string is held in code in
the same place as 'I', 'ME' 'PAPER MAIL' - do they fail as well?
