3623.0. "Length of subject field?" by KERNEL::LOAT (Stop throwing those bloody spears!) Fri Dec 03 1993 15:02
A customer has got a bit of a strange problem with ALL-IN-1 3.0 when
they try to print out mail messages. When they do this, they get an
access violation.
The mail message has been sent out of ALL-IN-1 to MRGATE, and then onto
a gateway called ULGATE which enables them to send out to an Ultrix
system.
If someone on the Ultrix system replies to the message, when they get
the message, the subject of the message now contains lots of extra
information which looks like it was generated by the gateway. The
subject line has now gone up to over 600 characters of stuff, and
printing this causes the access violation.
Is there a restriction on the size of the subject field in ALL-IN-1
3.0?
Thanx
Steve.
