ALL-IN-1 V3.0-1, MR V3.2
OA$DDS_PRIME = 1
This feature applies to adding addresses from DDS to EM messages when the address
has a long reverse lookup.
e.g. DDS subscriber entry with X400 address
Aston Clarke with reverse lookup:- aston clarke@1=gb@2=digital@3=cwmail@5=dec@mrx
If you create a message and enter Clarke{find} you are prompted "do you want to
search the mail directory". When you add the address from the mail directory
you find (from an EM SH) that the address has been truncated to 36 characters.
e.g. aston clarke@1=gb@2=digital@3=cwmai
This doesnt happen if you enter Clarke{CR} or use the SMD/SOM options.
The impact of this problem is that the user doesn't notice that this has
occured and the mail is usually undelivered. An IPMT has been logged for a
similar problem which truncates long addresses when you use MH to change the
personal name. These are probably related with further symptoms of this same
problem still to be discovered.
Can anybody confirm if this is fixed in something which may be called MUPA?
Can a fix be provided at Application Programming level?
Regards
Aston Clarke

Hi Aston,
Good news - This is a known problem that has been fixed in the PFR.
Bad news - The fix was in a code module, and so there is no
customisation that you can make to fix the problem.
Worse news - I don't think the fix is available in any patch.
Cheers
Stuart
