3572.0. "Change Mail header" by HGOVC::MASCOTTANG () Wed Nov 24 1993 02:12

I changed the mail header from "INTEROFFICE MEMORANDUM" to "INTEROFFICE
MAIL FROM CHINA" for all systems in China. When users send a mail to other
nodes within China, the mail header will be changed, but the mail
header is changed back to "INTEROFFICE MEMORANDUM" when users send mail
to Hong Kong and other countries. I expect all header will be changed
to "INTEROFFICE MAIL FROM CHINA" if the mail is sent from China. What
can I do on it ?

    Any advice should be appreciated.

    Many thanks,
    Mascot.

    Hi Mascot,

That's how it's suppose to work !!! The boiler plates are used to
merge the mail message *ON YOUR MACHINE* to format the header information
and is dependant on the format of the target machines BLP's. If the
target machine does not have the titled changed to "INTEROFFICE MAIL
FROM CHINA" it ain't goin to do it. For example in Australia we are
not going to change our BLP's to have "INTEROFFICE MAIL FROM CHINA".

You could try "stamping" the text/body part of the message if you like
see note 2824 for further information.

    Regards,

    Sunil
