| Hi,
>> 2 WASTEBASKET folders. the folder name is spelled the same
Errr, so why is this two folders? If the names's the same, then it's the same
folder! The folder name is just an attribute of the document, it isn't a
separate structural entity.
If it's just that there are documents that fall into two disparate date ranges,
then that just reflects the way they maintain their file cabinet.
You say EW ran and emptied the wastebasket; do you mean that all documents in
"both" your apparent wastebaskets were deleted? If so what exactly is the
problem?
The log showed only one entry for the user, because as explained above there is
only one wastebasket.
Or were only one set of documents deleted by EW? In this case, the other
documetns aren't in the WASTEABSKET folder; are you sure there are no other
non-blank characters in the folder name that don't appear on the screen because
they get trunctated? Try going to any form that wants a folder name, blank out
the folder field and hit FIND; that should list all folder names in full, and
show you if there really are two different wastebaskets.

| thanks scott, taht was it. when i did a FIND on the FOLDER field, I
found 2 WASTEBASKET folders, BUT, 1 folder had alot of blank space and
the [1! at the end. i refiled all of the documents from this folder
into the regular wastebasket. all seems OK.
it just seemed wierd that at least 2 people would have the same exact
same problem. this site has also been having major network
connectivity problems lately, and the users thought that had caused
this problem with WASTEBASKETS.
thanks for the help!
