| Chele,
I thought that the MAIL code (brilliant as it might be) only looks
in the DISTRIBUTION LISTS folder of the MAIL (i.e MAIN drawer) for
personal distribuiton lists so is the customer asking for this to
change?
Also System Distribution List aren't stored in drawers anyway (they're
profile entries) so the question doesn't make sense and you need
OA$ADMIN not groups to get at those.
So try again what was the question....

You'd be better off with "a bottle in front of me" rather than what the
customer appears to have had.... :)

The customer didn't know GS even existed - he wasn't sure whether he wanted a
system dl, or personal, or what.
I'm starting to feel a real need for sub-titles when talkning to this guy.
"I know what you asked for, but what do you actually _want_?"
After further discussion, what he actually wants is the ability to access
(ie SEE) and update group distribution lists, by group maintainers, without
having to use system dls, with their requirement for OA$ADMIN.
ie do it all from the GS menu - create the group, and the dl, then have it
visible & maintainable by specific people in the group.
If this facility, or something similar, are in a PFR, could someone mail me?
If not, could it be wishlisted?
Thanks & regards,
Chele

You can do all this in V3.0!
When you create a group, that can be used as a DL in itself; you don't need a
separate distribution list. You just type the group name (eg *DUMBKOPF) at the
TO: field.
GS allows you to speicify a maintainer's list for the group, the option is UML.
What more does the customer want?
