3435.0. " Hang on addressing with Nickname/DDS_PRIME = 2" by GRANPA::BSPANGLER () Fri Oct 22 1993 00:11

This was addressed to a large degree in 2681.*, but I feel warrants a
new note - the one regarding the problem which was brought up in
    2681.5.

Specifically, the customer is having inconsistent results with
OA$DDS_PRIME = 2 and using Nicknames to represent X.400 addresses.
Similar to the problem mentioned in base note 2681, recognition on
certain nicknames in EMHEAD results in long (5 min. or more) hanging,
followed by display of ALL DDS entries. Using exit screen from that
DDS display results in the correct expansion of the desired nickname.

Specifically, this works with GOLD-L, TAB, RETURN, or down arrow:

    Nickname: MIKE1
    Address:
    MICHAEL ZARUDZKI@8=MZ@4=ASD OPERATIONS@3=GOV+TREAS@2=TELEMAIL@1=US@MRX@EOPMRX

    The address expands correctly.
    *HOWEVER* , enter this nickname:

    Nickname: BECKY
    Address:
    REBECCA DINARDO@4=FOR@5=DIGITAL@3=DIGITAL@2=MCI@1=US@MRX@EOPMRX

and the "hanging/DDS display" described above occurs.

The "=" described as being the possible culprit in 2681.17 doesn't seem
    to apply.

Customer uses a lot of X.400, a lot of Nicknames. Is this definitely a
bug in 3.0-1, and what can I report as the status?

    	Thanks,

    Bob Spangler
