The next major release of ALL-IN-1 (V3.1) will be going to external field test in February '94 on OpenVMS VAX and March '94 on OpenVMS Alpha AXP. The ALL-IN-1 development group IOSG are now seeking willing sites to test both the VAX and Alpha versions. We already have a number of sites in the U.S. that have volunteered but we're especially interested in sites in Europe and the U.S that will test the following: o Brand new installations of ALL-IN-1 V3.1 on a 'clean' OpenVMS Alpha system. The pre-requisite operating system is OpenVMS AXP V2.0, Epsilon which will be going to EFT just prior to ALL-IN-1 V3.1. Have you a customer willing to test both? o Upgrading ALL-IN-1 VAX V2.4 to V3.1 and upgrading ALL-IN-1 V3.0 to V3.1 systems, both singly and within a cluster. o Upgrading an ALL-IN-1 V2.4 or V3.0 cluster to V3.1 and then adding an Alpha box (or converting an Alpha ready box to Alpha) followed by installation of V3.1 on it. Note: a mixed cluster of V2.4 and V3.1 systems is supported, but a mixed cluster of V3.0 and V3.1 is not. o Sites running WordPerfect as their wordprocessor. A list of required pre-requisite software is available upon request which will also be made very clear to potential sites during the field test licensing exercise which will begin shortly. Please reply within this note or directly to: Dave Holt@REO Product Manager Eileen Christie@REO Project Manager Regards and thanks, Dave

Hi, Could you include Zeneca Pharamceuticals in your field test plans ? They have previously been field test sites for previous versions of ALL-IN-1, although they were called ICI then. They are willing to test ALL-IN-1 V3.0, including MUPA, in a cluster, and/or with Wordperfect as the editor of choice, and TeamLinks V2.0 as one of numerous clients. Randall Morrison @olo

Is GIA explicitely excluded? Just curious. /Mario

Mario, no GIA or APA is not excluded but we only have the US English version ready for the EFTs. If your customers are OK with that then we will gladly consider them. Regards, Dave |
