Hello,
Customer complaints that after upgrading to 3.0, the
behaviour of (Printing from) the Read Menu (GOLD Menu while
Raeding) changed.
After the print, the user is back on the WP or EM form or on the next
selected document when a multiple select is done. So it is
not possible to delete or archive the document.
Customer would like to modify ALL-IN-1 so he stays in the Read Menu
after the print.
Known problem ?
Any hint is welcome.
Regards,
Jan

| 3373.1 | It used to sometimes work | IOSG::NEWLAND | Richard Newland, IOSG, REO2-G/L2 | Fri Oct 08 1993 13:40 | 21 |
This change is also discussed in topic 1865 in this conference. The problems in 2.3 and 2.4 were intermittant, so it sometimes worked and sometimes did not. It depended on the type of formatting being performed and whether the formatter was still active when the Print operation was performed. If LIST had read to the end of the document (and because it reads ahead this may be more than what is being displayed) and therefore the formatter was not active the problems did not occur. However, if the formatter was still active then some formatters, and in particular WPS-PLUS, would not work correctly. We are investigating methods of restoring the V2.4 behaviour but without the problems for a PFR. It will probably involve a new OA$LIST function which reads the whole of the document into memory (a Gold-Bottom without changing what is displayed) which will create the required conditions for all formatters to work correctly.
