3303.3 | Some things to try out | BUSHIE::SETHI | | Wed Sep 22 1993 01:26 | 36 |
| G'day,
I just had a look at the logfile and found a couple of minor problems
namely:
>Drawer: [ANICHOLSON]MAIN emptying wastebasket
>Error deleting file
>"FORS$DISK3:[FORS.RES.USERS.ANICHOLSON.OA.MSG]ZUUYMBB6J.WPC
>ACP could not mark file for deletion
>no privilege for attempted operation
>Error deleting file
Suggests that the protection on the file is set to no access for system
ie S:, you have a few of these in the logfile.
Having had a look at the access violation it appears that the account
that is being processed after CBACKMAN has a problem. Could you check
to see if the DOCDB & PDAF have any problems by doing an analyze/rms/check.
It's not possible to determin why this access violation has occurred,
so what you could do is to change the Department field in the user
profile to something obsecure like "Ministry of funny walks" :-). Than
run the EW procedure for that department and see if the EW access
violates. You could do this during normal working hours as EW will try
to empty that users wastebasket.
Do you run PT on the system ? If not it maybe a good idea to see if it
comes back with anything.
These are just some of my suggestions could you keep us posted.
Regards,
Sunil
PS - I must be going blind I asked you for the version of ALL-IN-1 but
you had it in your title.

This is what's driving me crazy. THe next time the EW is run, those
accounts that seems to have problem will be processed cleanly. It
will ACCVIO on the first few accounts. The previous run was clean
regarding Cbackman and the account before and after him.
ANAL/RMS was clean on the .dat files for the account in question.
As far as the file protection is concerned, I had raise that issue
but then again there were some runs that we get the ACCVIO even before
the account with file protection problem was processed.....
Any more suggestions/hints are welcome.

3303.5 | Set tracing on and see if it access vio's at same point | BUSHIE::SETHI | My name is Sunil without the H | Thu Sep 23 1993 02:02 | 18 |
| Hi,

I just pointed that out as another issue and I don't think it has much
to do with the problem.
You could turn tracing on and see where it's failing. So you will have
to edit the various .scp's and also set verify in the .com's. It's
almost impossible to guess as to what is causing the problem. Unless
someone in engineering can make a suggestion based upon there "inside"
knowledge.

Sunil

| Hi,
These sort of problems suggest that ALL-IN-1 is running out of something. From
authorize show the Manager account setup and see if anything looks a bit low.
You can try posting the result and seeing if the account setup experts can see
anything wrong.
Cheers
Stuart
