Hello, There is a problem with ALL-IN-1 at V2.4 A ALL-IN-1 user login ALL-IN-1,create mail. At the To: prompt,he type in the mail receiver name,but ALL-IN-1 prompted "Press GOLD MENU for search and paper mail options" The ALL-IN-1 manager have to enter the Maintain Mail Address utility to delete this receiver & create the same mail address. Afterwards,the user can create mail properly. This symptom had occurred twice. Is it a bug ? Thanks in advance for any comment . Regards. Tony.

3299.1 | Was the Delete Flag set? | IOSG::COTTINGHAM | Mon Sep 20 1993 13:16 | 13
First a few of questions 1) Was the Address a Local User? 2) What were the setting of in the NETWORK.DAT for: Node Mnode and the Deleted flag 3) What was OA$DDS_PRIME set to? I would guess that the Deleted Flag was set to Y and this would cause the Netwok entry to be ignored. Regards Alan

Alan, Thanks for your prompt reply. Answers to your questions: 1) The mail was addressed to a remote user. 2) The setting in the NETWORK.DAT for node=HKFE01 ,HKFE01 is the local node name should I left this field blank ? mnode=N Deleted flag=N 3) The logical OA$DDS_PRIME is 1 According to the customer,this symptom is not repeatable at will: when this problem occurred,deleting the record & recreate exactly the same record will make mail creation OKAY.And the time the next occurrence is unpredictable. The customer have two addresses with this symptom. I have remained one exactly the same before & another record with the NODE field left blank. Am I doing right? What else can be check ? Thanks very much. Regards. Tony.

Tony, the owning node in NETWORK should be something other than the node you are on - preferably the node the user is on. for instance to put your network address in NETWORK.DAT on the node you mentioned you would have the username set to TONYLIU and node set to HTSC19. I would also recommend setting mnode to Y. regards, Andrew.D.Wicks |
