The copy command in ALL-IN-1 allows me to pass in a WPS-PLUS document and output straight ASCII. The translation is very fast. I need to do the same with Wordperfect documents. The CDA converter has proven to be extremely slow. Apparently ALL-IN-1 has there own BUILT-IN converter for WPS-PLUS to ASCII because the conversion occurs almost immediately. For example, a WPS-PLUS copy command completes a 17 block file conversion to ASCII immediately where a CDA conversion takes 15 seconds. Is there a similar copy command for Wordperfect to ASCII? I tried the ALL-IN-1 copy command on a Wordperfect file but still got control sequences in the output file. Do I need to install Wordperfect so that it is one of the valid selectable editors from within ALL-IN-1 before this will work? Thanks for any help, Mark

Mark, if you install WordPerfect under ALL-IN-1, automatic conversion between WPS-PLUS, ASCII, DX, WordPerfect etc can be performed eg by the ALL-IN-1 COPY function. It is possible to buy WordPerfect on an ACTIVE USER licence, so i guess that if you buy a SINGLE user licence, you should then get the ability to do the conversion that you mention. Just how fast (or comprehensive) you will have to find out, but it should work! mb p.s. Isn't there am ASCII output option with WordPerfect? | |||||

Thanks for the quick response. That was what I thought. There probably is an ASCII output from Wordperfect but this application will require us to work within ALL-IN-1. I'm off to get a single user kit for Wordperfect. Mark |
