    Hi,

A client, having ALL-IN-1 DESKTOP V1.1, could not perform any send and
receive mail operation and received the follow message:

    "can't perform operation"

I have tried to find more information from TIMA but failed.

Could somebody suggest some idea? How could I troubleshoot this
    problem?

    Thanks
    Alex

| This question is best asked in the A1SVC_PC notes conference. The
partial answer is to get the \MAIL\PROGRAMS\A1COMM.LOG file, from
        the PC, and examine it.

| Dave,
Thanks for your reply to Alex.
I am Tony Liu,a colleague of Alex.
    This problem had been fixed.
In addition to displaying "cant perform operation" ,the terminal also
    additional message "press ENTER".
    This symptom occurred for create & send mail;
                              file cabinet rebuild.
Pressing the ENTER key several times on request & checking the
\mail\programs\a1comm.log,it could be found that the above operations
    can be performed successfully.
Checking CONFIG.SYS,both BUFFER & FILES parameters were set OK.
Tried re-installed the software, one directory C:\MAIL cant be removed.
    DOS version at 3.3
Upgrade DOS to V5.0 & use ATTRIB command, there was one hidden file:
    DRIVE.CFG.Delete this file & re-installed the software.
    All things work as expected.

    Thanks & Regards.

    Tony.

    performed successfully.
