3265.0. "UNABLE TO CHANGE ATTACHED DOCUMENT PRINTER SETTINGS" by TOSSUC::TOTA () Mon Sep 13 1993 17:32

	Hi,

I've some problem trying to modify printer settings.

	Environment: ALL-IN-1 3.0/IT
			Problem reproduced either on customer
			site or in Digital site.

Problem description, I made these steps:

	1) I've created a new drawer ( shared or not the behavior
		is the same )

	2) I've created a document in this drawer, with
		some words bolded and underlined.

	3)	I printed this document and changed some settings
		( vertical/horizontal pitch per inch, margins )
		to be different from defaults.
		Of course ALL-IN-1 works ok.

	4)	I've created a mail .

	5) I've used the menu option to attach the document
		to the mail.

	6) I choose to print this mail
		changing printing settings, so....

	7)	a) Wpparg1 form hab been called to change printing
settings ONLY FOR MAIL BUT NOT FOR ATTACHED DOCUMENT.
So attached document had been printed with
defaults settings different from document setting.
		b)	IT LOOSE BOLD SETTING BUT NOT UNDERLINED
			SETTING.

	8) I tried using PS printer type instead of
		LN03 and it WORKED FINE.

So, during my tryes I 've observed two behaviors:

	a)	USING DEFAULT ALLIN1 DRAWER it works fine
either with PS or than LN03

	b) USING A USER CREATED DRAWER it works with PS
printing , not with LN03 printing

Is it a bug or a feature?

It's a known problem which will be fixed in a possible future patch. In
the meantime see note 1185.3 for a temporary fix.

	Thanks very much,

	1185.3 had been very useful.
