3258.0. "Shared Drawers and User Profile Entries" by ZUR01::WORK19::BURKHALTER (Rolf Burkhalter @RLE) Fri Sep 10 1993 13:20

Hi all

ALL-IN-1 V3.0

Just a little questions about the SFCP Migration to V 3.0 Shared
Filling and the User Profile Entries.
Customer has done the Migration successfully but then deleted the
Profile Entries for the former SFCP Accounts.

My question now:
Is it necessary to have a User Profile Entry for a former SFCP
Account or in generall is it necessary to have a Profile Entry for
any Shared Drawer? I realized that if I want to create a Local
Drawer in the Manage Drawers Menu I have to enter an ALL-IN-1
account name in the field Owner but is this required for the
correct work of FCS and the access to such a drawer.

Thanks for any help

Rolf

BTW: In the ALL-IN-1 Management Guide section 9.6.3 Adding a Drawer
to a Partition point 5. describes to enter an ALL-IN-1 account name
in the owner field. I think this is not correct. Shouldn't it be
the VMS Username of the equivalent ALL-IN-1 account?
