3257.0. "x400 user in ALL-IN-1" by TLAV02::ORAPINL () Fri Sep 10 1993 03:12
Hello,
My customer can't use "X400". He has two sites, these two sites run ALL-IN-1
version 3.0, Message Router version 3.2, and Message Router VMSmail Gateway
version 3.2. The first site can send mail by using "x400", when he types
"x400" at TO: prompt, the screen called "Adding X.400 Addresses" will show
and let him type "Name", "Administration Domain", ... But another site
doesn't show the "Adding X.400 Addresses" like the first one. ALL-IN-1 just
think that "x400" is one of user names in ALL-IN-1 system.
I asked him to check what is the diffirent between the first and second site
and he found there are some different fields in profile of x400 between these
two sites. Below are fields which look different :-
First Site Second Site
Mail destination X400 ALL-IN-1
Initial form MAIN EMC
After that, I told him to modify profile data of the second site but he
couldn't do it because when he tried to modify,ALL-IN-1 will force him to
enter VMS account name
Any idea ?
Thanks a lot in advance

| Yes, you need to change the Mail Destination on the second site. Perhaps WRITE
will work? Something like:
<WRITE CHANGE PROFIL USER="X400", MAIDES="X400"
(At least that should provoke an expert to come and improve my guess!)
