| Monique,
DASL is part of OpenVMS - maybe the customer tailored it off.

DASL is part of the FCS, it should have been installed by any
ALL-IN-1 V3+ installation.

Is this something new? I know it was not part of VMS V5.5 or before.
We (the FCS team) had to supply it, there is not even official
support for it anymore, if you use it, you can get the sources and
do with it what you please.

3246.3 | I'm not sure | AIMTEC::WICKS_A | U.S.A 2 England 0 - I was there! | Tue Sep 07 1993 19:48 | 13 |
| Bob,
I seem to have it on all my machines including the ALL-IN-1 v2.4 ones
(and no TCP isn't there). DASL is/was used by a number of products
including DSM and was shipped by them also - I could be wrong about
it actually being in the VMS base kit.
I'm certainly confused now - since I thought that the TM Scan Server
had been using it for years.

3246.4 | How about VTX? | CHRLIE::HUSTON | | Tue Sep 07 1993 22:13 | 9 |

Andrew,
Several products do use it, but to my knowledge it is not part
of VMS, I know that VTX uses it. If you have ever installed one
of the products that uses it, then you will get it.
