Hope this helps

Julia,
Sho term on the LTA device specifies a width of 255 and page of 66.
Sorry.

| Check what the escape sequence is for keyword LANDSCAPE in the DECLASER
table. (WP PT and then create a table based on DECLASER.PRA, ).
It should be something like this:
<ESC>[2 z<ESC>[1;3400s

Julia,
I did find this escape sequence in the DECLASER.PRA file but what do
you mean by keyword LANDSCAPE? The word landscape is nowhere mentioned
in this file. Should there be a %LANDSCAPE% followed by that escape
sequence? All there is is %WPS%.

| For WPS-PLUS V4 there may not be a .PRT file. Most .PRA files point to the
multiple .PRT font files for the fonts that the printer supports.

| Might be an idea to post the escape codes here by printing to a
destination of FILE, print style DECLASER. Is it a customised printer
table (ALLI/NOCUSTOM) ? Have they tried DECLSRA4.PRA ?

Clive,
DECLSRA4 as print style is not recognized although the file exists.
The DECLASER.PRA file is 14 blocks big and dates from 12-Mar-1992.
DECLASER.PRA customized? I doubt that because then I would expect it to
be in the directory wpl$site_prt_share and not wpl$prt_share
[ALLIN1.PRINT].
I hope what follows after the form feed is what you're looking for.

| Well your codes are pretty much the same as mine apart from font and
pitch, except you don't seem to have the landscape codes mentioned in .3
You should check in the orientation option OR under WP PT E.
To use DECLSRA4.PRA use options SM MFP MPR PT, create a new printer
type or edit DECLASER and change the Printer Device value to DECLSRA4.

3230.11 | Lost in the printing world | BIS1::DESTRIJCKER | Back again to the home town | Wed Sep 08 1993 13:07 | 17 |
| Clive,
Using printer type DECLSRA4 doesn't make any difference on the contrary
it's getting worse. My newly created document now comes out portrait
with part of the second overprinted. Looks like it wrapped at 80, then
went to beginning of the same line and started printing the second
line.
I would like to step through the whole printing process when a WPSPLUS
with a control block that says printer format landscape is printed.
Could somebody explain this process to me please or point me to where I
can find this info?
Maybe when I understand what is happening I can identify what is wrong.
Thanks,
Wivine.

| What is the width of your print form ? Do you have a /truncate on the

$sho que/form oa$hls_80/full
If you do then this seems to cause numerous inexplicable errors in

3230.13 | Defined as usual | BIS1::DESTRIJCKER | Back again to the home town | Wed Sep 08 1993 14:11 | 8 |
| Clive,
Both forms are defined in A1V30START.COM, both with /NOWRAP and
/NOTRUNCATE, OA$HLS_80 80 wide and OA$HLS_132 132 wide.
Are you saying that OA$HLS_80 should be 132 wide?
Wivine.

3230.14 | | TOPPER::BARHAM | Norbert: | Wed Sep 08 1993 15:27 | 4 |
| I was just suggesting that if your width is 80 then you won't get 132 !
Just guessing - try a from that hasn't got /truncate on it...

| Have you checked if the listing file created by the WPS-PLUS formatter
contains the required control sequences? Without knowing this it is
difficult to say if you should look further into queue or device set-ups,
or the WPS-PLUS document and its Print settings.

I have been looking at that and hereafter follows a copy of the .LIS
file taken from the printer que just before it got printed. The printer
is a DECLaser 2200. I used the unchanged DECLASER printer type using
the form OA$HLS_132 as defined in A1V30START.COM and this is what comes

| Prints fine for me in the sense that it's landscape and doesn't wrap at
80 (prints to the margins) though the formatting is a bit strange as
the font is too big (it's 10 point courier now, was elite ?) to fit the
long underline on one line.
So your wrapping at 80 isn't an escape code problem. I used oa$hls_132
with /truncate and got same results so not a /truncate problem.
The above was using a LATSYM queue. Don't believe you ever specified an
ANSI generic queue so I tried that and I now see your problem - it
wraps at 80 only when using an ANSI generic queue.
Don't know what that tells us other than it seems to be a CPS problem
maybe ?

| Ahh, this rings a bell (vaguely).
Try printing the document to the ansi queue with a format of LN03
(making sure that the LN03 style picks up the LN03 table (SM MFP
MPR PT SEL LN03 and then check the device).
If this works, I believe you need to make an alteration to the
Landscape sequence in the DECLASER table. Change it to
<ESC>[?21 J<ESC>[1;3400s
which is what the LN03 has.
Cheers

3230.19 | Change font to 10 p. elite? | BIS1::DESTRIJCKER | Back again to the home town | Thu Sep 23 1993 17:53 | 17 |
| Hi guys!
Sorry to bother you again but now somebody has noticed that 10 point
courier doesn't print 80 characters or 132 chars on one line. So I want
to change the font in DECLASER.PRA to 10 point ELITE. How do I do this?
Using options MS MFP MPRMPR PT SEL declaser E I get theprinter types
master.
Using PT from WP a new DECLASER.PRA is NOT created. And the manual
doesn't make sence.
Anybody out there who can tell me?
Tahnks,
Wivine.
