    Hi,
    
    A customer has several VMS nodes running ALL-IN-1 STARTER v2.4 with
    MR v3.2 on VMS V5.5-2. The mails sent by one of these remote nodes,
    when do SH by the receiver, the field VMS filename shows .TXT and
    the field Data type shows ASCII instead of .WPL and WPSPLUS
    respectively in mails sent by other nodes.
    
    Would it be due to the reason that there are some settings (configuration )
    in that node being set incorrettly ?

	Be sure the TRANSLATE flag in A1CONFIG / A1BASE is set to "0". If it is set to "1" all outgoing mail will be converted to ASCII. Hope this helps you Joerg
