ALl-IN-1 2.4, VMS 5.5-2
Customer is adding new disks to their systme. i want to move 2-3 of
their DAF's to this new disk. in reading the mgmt guide, i've come up
with the following scenario..
1. close mail area to be moved
is it necessary to run BMA here?
since mail area is going to be reopened in the next few
minutes anyway?
2. transfer the mail area to the new disk
3, open the mail area on the new disk
4. run BMA
It seems so simple, what can go wrong?

Hi, Ann, What you have outlined here seems to work O.K. However, you will want to shutdown ALL-IN-1 first. It should not be necessary to run BMA; just move all your areas then restart ALL-IN-1. Linda | |||||
