Regarding the option "SM MUA D" for deleting a user from
ALL-IN-1, version 2.4.
How come this procedure does update the timestamp in network.dat?
Or should I ask why it does not update the MNODE field to "N"?
If the timestamp is not updated then UA cannot capture the
deletion. Until all ALL-IN-1 nodes are in synch you cannot
execute DA, but since UA did not capture the deletion (because
the timestamp was not updated) the nodes are not in synch.
Is there a recommended procedure for deleting a user?
Thanks,
John

| 3165.1 | Bug in MUA_DEL_ACCOUNT.COM | VNABRW::EHRLICH_K | What's going on? | Thu Aug 19 1993 11:17 | 20 |
John,
yes there (was) is a bug within ALL-IN-1 V2.4 in MUA_DEL_ACCOUNT.COM
For details see good old ALL-IN-1_V24 conference, entry 1981.5 !!!
Change from
$ write scp " .FX WRITE CHANGE NETWORK %KEY=#COMPKEY,DELETED = OA$Y"
to correctly
$ write scp " .FX WRITE CHANGE NETWORK %KEY=#COMPKEY,-
DELETED =OA$Y,TIMESTAMP=OA$DATE_NBS"
Then you're able to delete the user and with DA/UA everything will
work!
