Hello, Could someone please give me some pointers how to accomplish this customer request (if it can be done at all). The customer wants ALL-IN-1 mail to search the NETWORK.DAT first before PROFILE.DAT. They have PROFS users that have accounts on the ALL-IN-1 node as well as PC users. The ALL-IN-1 node is the brain of their mailing system. ALL-IN-1 V3.0 thanks, ricardo

I don't believe this can be done. The search order is hard coded in BLISS.... (other than DDS, which can of course be made prime.) T | |||||

Ricardo, with a certain amount of tailoring, you could make ALL-IN-1 search NETWORK rather than OA$MAIL_ADD_ADDR when the user is on the TO or CC fields. You would have to do all the address building yourself, and mimic some of the automatic features that the MAIL$SCL_FUNCTION does for you, but it should be possible. Is this what you want? mb |
