3133.1 | Not supported | FINDER::HOULDINGJ | Jill Houlding - Back in Basingstoke | Thu Aug 12 1993 13:54 | 21 |

I should be careful about encouraging your customer to use DECPage
with ALL-IN-1 V3.0 as I believe that ALL-IN-1 Engineering do NOT
support the integration.
We had a similar problem with a customer in the UK and found the
following:
DECPage does not function correctly after an upfgrade to ALL-IN-1 V3.0
The ALL-IN-1 V3.0 SPD does not list DECPAGE as a supported integrated
product even thought the Installation Guide refers to it.
As the SPD is the legal document to which the product must conform,
Engineering's position is that DECPAGE is not supported with
ALL-IN-1 V3.0.
Sorry it's not better news

| OK Jill, I'll tell my customer that DECpage is not supported under
ALL-IN-1 v3.0. But I still have the feeling that with a few limitations
we can make it function as well as any other customization.
WHAT in DECpage does not function correctly after an upgrade to
ALL-IN-1 V3.0? I am aware that drawers cannot be selected from the
DECpage menu, and that WPS-PLUS v4 functionality is not supported by
DECpage.
Yesterday I spoke with the person who upgraded our production system,
COPCLU, from ALL-IN-1 v2.4 to v3.0. Before the upgrade he had made sure
that all DECpage elements were placed in SITE areas. (If they were in
Digital areas he had copied them to SITE areas.) Then he ran the
ALL-IN-1 upgrade, and afterwards DECpage fundtioned as it had always
done.
That was a success story, but the upgrade I am going to do, is
different because it is from v2.3 to v3.0.
I would like to hear about any experiences from people who have done
ALL-IN-1 upgrades on systems with DECpage installed.

I upgraded the ALL-IN-1 system without touching DECpage, and DECpage
went on as if nothing had happened. Only help texts were missing.
From OAHELP.HLB in v2.3 I extracted all modules with the same date as
the DECpage files in OA$SITE directories and told the customer to
insert them into the new OAHELP.HLB after having checked them one by
one against a LIB/LIST of OAHELP.HLB in order to prevent that no v3.0
help modules get overwritten.
