My customer is operating in a mixed environment, ALL-IN-1 IOS and TeamLinks. They are able to tag files with TeamLinks so that the receiver knows what application created an attachment. If these are sent to ALL-IN-1 IOS the message that is displayed is "FOREIGN document type cannot be displayed". While there is no requirement to display the attachment, it would be nice if the message was "LOTUS file, cannot be displayed", or something like that. I have created a handling tag for ALL-IN-1 IOS which allows a user to upload a spreadsheet into the ALL-IN-1 IOS file cabinet and tag (handling) it with "WK3". When this is sent to a TeamLinks user everything seems to work fine. The only request is as stated above and I have been unable to determine how this can be accomplished. I know that if I RVC a .PS file that it shows the message "PostScript document type cannot be displayed" when it is read. Can't I setup something so that an incoming message attachment works in the same manner? Thanks for your help, Steve

Steve, You don't say which versions of ALL-IN-1 or TeamLinks you have. With a certain not in EFT baselevel I can read Lotus 1-2-3 files sent from TeamLinks to ALL-IN-1. If you're not at this version you certainly wouldn't want to design in anything that will be done magically in a PFR regards, Andrew.D.wicks | |||||

I am using A1 V3.0 and TL V1.1 (DEC Mailworks Server V1.1) not that it should make any difference. What I want is for an ALL-IN-1 inbound message that is tagged (ie: handling) with a XLS4 (EXCEL V4) or WK3 (LOTUS V3.n) to display the appropriate message when the mail message is read (ie: not "Foreign doc type .... etc"). I believe this may require that a DSAB be created ... is this correct? Even if I can create a DSAB (or copy the FOREIGN DSAB to one named LOTUS 123) will this automatically be applied to an inbound message (provided the WK3 tag is set up referencing the appropriate data set, SM MFP MFT)?
