|  |     Hi,

    It allows for a drawer to be set up where users with CREATE access are
    allowed to put documents into the drawer, but not allowed to change
    anything in there. Rather like a notes conference.

    Cheers

| 3049.2 | Ah, but not EDIT and NO CREATE | BIS1::DESTRIJCKER | Back again to the home town | Thu Jul 22 1993 14:04 | 12 |
|  |     Hi Stuart,

    OK. Create but not edit.
    How about the other way round? i.e. EDIT but no CREATE. One of my users
    would like other users to modify documents but not create any new ones.
    This appears to be impossible since as soon as you enter Y for EDIT, a
    Y appears under CREATE as well. So I thought there must be a good reason
    for it 8-^). Do you happen to know?

    Cheers
    Wivine.

| 3049.3 | Need to use advanced sharing | IOSG::MAURICE | Differently hirsute | Thu Jul 22 1993 16:08 | 12 |
|  |     Hi,

    You can do that as well by making the drawer type ADVANCED SHARED. Then
    on the DRM ASO MDA (manage drawer access) option you will not give the
    user CREATE access. On the SDA (set default access for new documents)
    you give the user EDIT access. With an ADVANCED SHARED drawer you can go
    further and decide on a per-document basis which ones the user is
    allowed to edit.

    Cheers
