3041.0. "FETCHER que has messages-doesn't have messgaes" by ANGLIN::HARRISA (beep me) Wed Jul 21 1993 19:42

    ALL-IN-1 2.4 patched to K603
    VMS 5.5-2

Customer saw that the FETCHER was pausing last night. Not sure why
yet, but in looking at the at OAMTIMAIL.LOG, I noticed the following...

    OAMTIMAIL running on IZZY::
                      at 21-JUL-1993 12:26:19.39

%DCL-W-UNDSYM, undefined symbol - check validity and spelling
     \WAIT_COUNT\
Job OAMTIMAIL (queue A1$MAINT, entry 823) holding until 21-JUL-1993
    12:33
The queue contains 0 messages waiting to be fetched.
There are messages to be fetched

    Prceeeds to finish normally...

If I look in MRMAN, I see that there are messages in ath A1 mailbox.
Looked at the code for OA$LIB:OAMTIMAIL.COM and WAIT_COUNT is there.
Didn't see any DSN articles....Any ideas...

we're still concerned though about the lines: (in OAMTIMAIL.LOG)

    >> The queue contains 0 messages waiting to be fetched.
    >> There are messages to be fetched

Can't say I've seen this - but it seems to be normal behaviour!

The first message comes from the check on the fetcher queue - running
fetchcheck. This should usually say 0. The second comes from checking the MR
mailbox.
