3039.0. "GMA/SMU Problem" by MCIS2::FREITAS () Wed Jul 21 1993 17:33

    Hi,

Two users are experiencing problems when using the GMA option to grant
    mail access to each other.
When using GMA to grant access, all appears to work fine, but when the
user who was granted access uses SMU to set user, the message "You have
not been granted mail access by this user" appears.
If a GOLD/L is done in the SMU field, no user names appear except for
    the owners name.
I checked the ACCESS.DAT and MAIL_ACCESS.DAT files and both have the
proper ACLS as shown below: (USERB cannot access USERA with SMU)

    ACCESS.DAT;1 0 21-JUL-1992 08:42:56.48

    (IDENTIFIER=[AAA,USERA],OPTIONS=HIDDEN,ACCESS=READ+WRITE+DELETE+
              CONTROL)
              (IDENTIFIER=[BBB,USERB],ACCESS=READ+WRITE+DELETE)
    MAIL_ACCESS.DAT;1 0 21-JUL-1993 09:16:47.58
              (IDENTIFIER=[BBB,USERB],ACCESS=READ+WRITE)

Both users profiles look to be in order. Don't know what else to
    check. Hope someone can Help!

    Thanks,
    Steve

    Hi,

    Some things to check:

    1. Can the user use the SDR (set drawer) option to make the other
       user's drawer current?

    2. When USERA goes to Drawer Management (DRM menu option) and types
R to read the drawer do you get the error about World execute on
       the directory path.

    3. Have you applied the V3.0-1 patch? There were some changes that
       might fix your problem.

    Cheers

    Stuart
