3036.0. "V3.0 fallback to V2.4 possible?" by HTSC19::ALEXLUI () Wed Jul 21 1993 11:39

    Hi,

Would there be any problem for ALL-IN-1 V3.0 system fallback to V2.4?
The V3.0 system has been up for a couple of days. Only the upgrade was
performed, nothing new was introduced after upgrade.

    Document/mail format OK?

    Any idea?
    Thanks
    Alex

    Alex,

Shouldn't be a problem. We run 2.4 and 3.0 on a two node cluster.
Users access the same file cabinets from both nodes.

    I'll pretend I haven't seen that :-)

    Re .0

Might be problems if you're using some new features of WPS-PLUS
(multi-column?) that the old formatter might not be able to cope with. I
expect it'll just ignore them though. Perhaps the editor might drop
    them on the floor.

I assume you're going back to a backup? Or are you going to back
convert all the data files (PROFILE etc.) that were converted during
    upgrade?

Most of time management would break.
