Customer is running 3.0 ALL-IN-1 and LOTUS 1-2-3 1.5. He cannot
get GOLD I to work within LOTUS, but it works OK from any menu etc.
I can do GOLD I OK and this brings up my interrupt menu. Comparing
a trace shows that mine calls OA$DO:APPL_INT.SCP but his doesn't.
I have checked my profile, my Lotus setup with him all of which
appear to be the same. The only difference I can determine is that
his Lotus image
DISK$APPLICATIONS:[ALLIN1.L123_A1.LIB_SHARE]L123_A1$MAIN.EXE;1
is dated November 1992 along with his savesets and ours are dated
13-JAN-1993.
I know there were problems with the earlier kit in the UK - could
this be one of the problems? Or is there anything else to check for
why his Gold I doesn't work? I've tried this on VT220's, VT320's
etc, so it isn't the terminal or keyboard he is using.
Thanks for any help

Not knowing anything specifically about the L123 integration, but . . .
Gold-I in integrated applications has to work by issuing a DO APPL_INT
to ALL-IN-1 via the mailbox. Part of the "integration" is to modify the
application code to recognise Gold-I and do this (also Gold-* etc).
So, if the customer's version of L123 isn't issuing the DO APPL_INT
command, it's wrong in some way. Are you sure that it's a version which
is intended to work under ALL-IN-1?
Dave.
(PS - isn't there a conference somewhere for L123? Anyone?)

Yeah, thanks, but if it's OK within LOTUS for VMS but fails within
ALL-IN-1 integration, I normally would try here first.
The answer was that any user with a RESTRICTED flag in AUTHORIZE
cannot use GOLD I, GOLD G, GOLD W and GOLD #. Remove the flag and
the key functions can then be used without a problem.
Thanks for your help
