I face a problem in ALL-IN-1, I find that after we upgrade ALL-IN-1 from V2.3 to V2.4, the fetcher job is always suspended after the the fetcher is worked a period of time. Would anyone tell me how to solve the problem? Any advice will be appreciated. The error message is DO OA$LIB:REFILE %OA-I-CAB_CANT_FIND, The current File Cabinet document can not be found MAIL MTI_FETCH_REMOTE

I'm afraid you'll have to tell us more than that! The 'error message' in .0 is normal behaviour - ignore it. Does the fetcher deliver any messages? Are there any left in the mailbox when it hangs? What does the Message Router error logfile say? Is DECnet healthy? grahame

Also, what - if any - patches do you have installed? If it's looping in COM state: There was a problem with the MTI unbuild code which pulls apart NBS files. Because ALL-IN-1 uses MR code from about 10 B.C. (Yes - X1.0 of MR!) it tends to loop if it gets a corrupted NBS file. There was a patch which fixed this in V2.3 and the change was rolled into V2.4 but it didn't catch all of the problems. Certain types of corruption would cause loops which it wouldn't catch. If it's in some other process state - there may be some resource problem. What does a SHOW PROCESS/CONTINUOUS or SHOW SYS say. Paul
2988.3 | Patches? | AIMTEC::WICKS_A | U.S.A 2 England 0 - I was there! | Fri Jul 09 1993 17:24 | 9 |
Also if you can't upgrade all the way to v3.0 - at least put the patches on at least up to K603. And also please spell ALL-IN-1 correctly as the nice reminder tells you to when you open the conference. Regards, Andrew.D.Wicks |
