ALL-IN-1 Version 3.0-1. Customer is experiencing the following ; He gives mail access to another user. Drawer MAIN becomes regular shared. Then he uses Drawer Management to add other users to his MAIN drawer access list. Afterwards, the entry of the user with mail access is deleted via the Grant Mail access option. The Grant Mail access overwrites entries added via Drawer Management ! I think this is not intended behaviour, or is it ? Veerle Laroche.

2979.1 | Solution is to make drawer "Advanced Shared" | IOSG::CHAPLIN | Andy Chaplin | Fri Jul 30 1993 16:39 | 12 |
The behaviour you describe where GMA overwrites the drawer access list is in fact the correct behaviour with a drawer that is "Regular Shared". If you make the drawer "Advanced Shared" then GMA will ask whether you want the drawer access level to be overwritten. If you don't want the access list to be overwritten then answer "NO" and then go change the drawer access manually to give the new user CREATE/DELETE access to the drawer. Unfortunately it's not possible for ALL-IN-1 to do this automatically since it would have to resolve conflicts etc. Sorry for the late response, Andy |
